A lot of training in the world fails because it does not answer the right question.

First, a lot of training focuses on input of "knowledge".
An example of this is training such as "Understand the 3Cs framework in strategic analysis" or "Understand 5 forces analysis”. The question posed here is "what is 3Cs or what is 5 forces”. Of course, having this knowledge is extremely important. However, if we simply focus on the "what is” question (input of knowledge),a lot of times it is difficult to apply the knowledge in creating tangible results.

Second, a lot of training focuses on teaching the right "behaviour".
An example of this is training such as "Leadership Training" where behaviours needed for leaders to lead an organization are taught through games and role plays. Of course, being trained in the right behaviour is extremely important. However, if we only focus on understanding the "right behaviour",a lot of times  it becomes difficult to apply when situations change or some unprecendented event happens.

Lastly, there is the bottom of the pyramid which is “the thinking skills and the mindset”.
An example of this is training such as "fundamental logical thinking skills", "critical thinking skills”, "problem solving skills", and "understanding professional mindset”. Thinking skills and the mindset is the foundation of understanding and applying the right behaviour and knowledge in any given situation.

In other words, when training is done on understanding the right behaviour or important knowledge, the reason for the "right behaviour" or the reasons for the "knowledge" is also understood together with the right behaviour or the knowledge itself. By understanding the reason behind the right behaviour or knowledge, the application becomes sustainable regardless of the situation. People are able to adjust.

 So, what do we do?
Simply put, we cater to every layer of this pyramid with a focus on the "way of thinking and the mindset". This is one of the reasons we are chosen as the partner for effective Human Resource Development.
